He is listed as a F1000Prime faculty member and on Who's Who in Gerontology. He has published over 130 original articles.〔(Researchers at Brown Profile )〕 He wrote the first book on gene targeting in 1992.〔(Gene Targeting )〕 In 2006, he published the first comprehensive in vivo quantification of cellular senescence in aging primates. That year, his lab also discovered how (through the Polycomb pathway) c-Myc contributes to the regulation of chromatin states.
